Shin Splints

Shin splints, or medial tibial stress syndrome, is classified by a list of symptoms that can have a number of different causes. The most common cause is inflammation of the periosteum of the tibia. The periosteum is the thin layer of tissue that surrounds the bone.

Please note: If your pain persists, seek the advice of a medical professional.

Every pair of SOLE Custom Footbeds will make your feet feel better. Here's a couple we recommend for shin splints.

  • Softec Ultra Footbeds
  • Signature EV Ultra Footbeds

Without SOLE

Without SOLE
The unsupported foot collapses, causing increased traction forces from the muscles of the lower leg on the periosteum. The added traction causes small tears, inflammation, and pain in the shin area.

With SOLE

With SOLE
SOLE Custom Footbeds and Platinum Sandals provide custom support the entire foot, lifting your foot into the optimal position. This reduces the excessive traction forces that cause pain and inflammation in the shin area.
