Social Media Intern Wanted

SOLE is looking to hire a temporary Social Media Intern for our North Vancouver office. Students or anyone with relevant experience are welcome to apply. We offer a casual work environment, work experience, a letter of recommendation, free product, and (probably) your own office in our new North Vancouver Penthouse office space. Job Description

• Creation of written and video content for our blog and social media profiles
• Reading relevant blogs on a daily basis
• Help monitor and maintain profiles on multiple social media websites
• Identifying and implementing ways to improve SOLE's social media efforts
• Engage customers on a daily basis through our social media profiles and blog
• Assist in creating overall social media marketing strategies

Qualifications

• Demonstrable writing skills
• Education relevant to marketing, social media or public relations
• Knowledge of social media platforms and the industry
• Experience with Facebook and Facebook Pages
• Experience with Twitter, Flickr, and YouTube
• Proficent in MS Word, Open Office, or an equivalent platform
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Enthusiastic and easy going personality
• Strong communications skills, English speaking

Nice to have

• Writing and/or copywriting experience
• Experience with shooting and editing video
• Experience in an agency environment

Length of term

The length of the internship is flexible but we are looking for at least a 3 month commitment. Start date is as soon as possible. Flexible work hours available. Part-time work is also available; we're looking for at least a 20 hour per week commitment. This position may lead to a paid part- or full-time position for the right candidate.
