Inside SOLE: Weekend Shenanigans

Brianne (Accounts Receivable) was thrilled to report on the "Most exciting weekend of my LIFE!!!! I am ENGAGED!" Her beau popped the question over filet mignon, surrounded by family. Congratulations Brianne!

For the ladies interested, here's a picture of the bling, rather, the ring.

Andrew (IT Manager) went to see Kooza on Saturday with his family (which must have been good since his 3-year-old sat through the entire 2 hour performance!). Then on Sunday, he and his wife saw Sarah Harmer (with Bahamas) at the Jack Singer.

Joss (Product Designer) went to a climbing BBQ on Friday with a DJ, hot tub and new bouldering walls complete with letter and number sequences like the game "Battleship." Sunday was International Talk Like A Pirate Day, and Joss did his best to drink rum like a pirate at the Pirate Pub in downtown Vancouver... Arrrrrr Matey!

This weekend marked the first of Brandi's (Marketing) Saturday classes at the University of Calgary. She spent the bulk of her weekend studying the work of Critical Theorist James Carey and pondered questions like: Is reality constructed? If yes, who constructs it? Individuals? The mass media? If the mass media constructs it, what are they trying to create?

In an effort to balance her mental workouts, Brandi logged 15km to her running total.

Matt (IT) and Alyssa (Customer Service) went to an 80's-themed party on Friday. Unfortunately, Matt's mullet wig didn't have quite enough "party in the back."

Alyssa spent her Saturday training for the half marathon she'll be running in two weeks... (yikes!) Sunday she climbed at U of C and "finally made it to the top!"

Kendra (Hardware Technology Developer) and Jon (Midwest USA Sales Rep), while on a road trip, spent 2 days climbing in Custer State Park, South Dakota. Epic.
