Everest and the Extraordinary
Rob, our Product Director, recently went to Nepal and trekked towards Everest. Waiting for the rest of his group to arrive, he toured Kathmandu's temples, keeping an eye out for monkeys and giant fruit bats. After a harrowing flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, 7 days of hiking took the group to Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar (a nearby peak with a great view of the Khumbu Icefall and Base Camp). The views of Nuptse, Ama Dablam and other mountains were awesome. Seeing the porters carrying up to 100 kilos was almost as extraordinary! Rob reports that his Exhales made great camp booties and that his father loved using Lightweight Sport socks as sock liners.
Rob wants to thank his father and the rest of the group, their guide Noel Hanna, Pasang Sherpa and Pemba Sherpa for an absolutely amazing trip.
